GM 3 Port BCS vs. others

As far as BCS's go, what is everyone running. I was just going to get a Grimmspeed but I read the post comparing the Grimmspeed to the GM.

It is my understanding that GM has a plug n play version now. I have used google to try and find the GM BCS with no luck; who sells it?

Second question, for now I'm planning on keeping the stock turbo with pump; is it even worth getting a BCS?

and this:

Grimmspeed seems to be the easy option as I can just make a single purchase and get a complete plug n play unit. However it appears that the GM unit is the better option.

The GrimmSpeed (provided by SoCal Rally for testing) is very comparable in performance to the GM BCS. It opens very fast (3 ms vs 6 ms for the GM), but based on the scope signal, the valve bounces off the valve stop several times before settling into a full open position. (This is the only solenoid I've seen that does this.) The pressure variation vs duty cycle is very similar to the GM BCS. The only practical differences is that the GrimmSpeed bleeds off a little more pressure in the mid duty cycle range. This means a slightly reduced useful duty cycle range compared to the GM. The pressure swings from the solenoid opening and closing are a bit larger than the GM. This means that if you could see the WG flapper during boost, it would be oscillating a bit more with the GrimmSpeed vs the GM.
As a n00b, could these problems result in WG failure of some sort?

Both solenoids are good. GM option is a little cheaper. Buy it from gmpartsdirect.com. You'll need the part number. I don't have it, but if you search in the ECUFlash forum, you should be able to find it.

I'll likely be running one... I have the Grimmspeed, but one of the pins came loose from the connecter, I tried to fix it, but it still doesn't work. Something about the GS I just don't like for some reason... I have some really good 3 port maps, but I want to try the GM one out.

Well I guess you don't get much better customer service than that do you? I'm going to stay with them, and I would recommend them for ease of resolving problems.
