AMS VSR Intake Manifold Install Questions

I just picked up an AMS VSR with a stock ported throttle body. Install brings two issues.

I actually run an AMS Piping kit yet this thingy won't line up. I called AMS and they suggested just buying a new upper ic pipe for $400+tax+Shipping. Is their an easier way to route the piping without breaking the bank?

Second is the EGR, or lake there of it's completely deleted. I still run an oem ecu so it'll throw a code instantly. Can that be flashed out?

Thanks guys.

yes a remote tuner can delete it in the ecu.

As for the pipiping mayebyou can use another coupler for that joint.

EGR can be flashed out on stock ECU

And I actually had to cut my pipe and had to reweld it. I cut it myself and paid $40 to have the aluminum rewelded to my specs.

That's what I heard, AMS keeps trying to sell me a new pipe for $450, seems to be their game plan.

Google "hump coupler". It should serve this purpose and work with your current set up. No need to drop more $$$$. AMS, lol.

Who is "Coupler" and it seems this would be NSFW so maybe wait till I get home?

coupler is an attachment from one hose type connection to another. Hence to couple them together. Best way is what one user already stated. Cut and extend unless you can find a coupler that could reach your intake.

The only thing bad about using a rubber coupler is that if there is no tension to keep it open the coupler could end up collapsing which would significantly restrict airflow to your engine. Its better off just getting some aluminum piping and extending what you already have by going to some welding shop or exhaust shop.

This, I don't see the need to weld or anything like that. This will work and will seal and does not leak. They're made specifically for your needs. The link is for a 3" obviously you need a different size but the link is more so you can get an idea of what I am talking about.

So this will fit a AMS upper IC Pipe to an AMS VSR with a ported OEM Throttle body?
