How To Replace Timing Belt - Mitsubishi Evo 8 [video]
#16
Incar, since the right motor mount (the one on the engine) needs to come off, place a jack under the pan to support the engine. Use a plank between the jack and the pan to avoid denting the pan. Once the motor mount is off, the accessory belt idler can be removed by lowering the jack a little. To remove the water pump pulley use a strap wrench. To remove the timing belt idler pulley remove the power steering pump first.

Thank you for the video/info!
When the balance shaft elimination is done, however, does it matter where the front oil pump sprocket (that used to drive the front balance shaft) is when the belt is installed?

I alined everything properly rotated the engine and waited 25 minutes to see if the grenade pin goes it smooth, and it did. So i went and turn the car on and started doing a ticking noise was wondering if anyone went through that problem.
