Been awhile.

I did end up finishing the cluster swap and got it working almost perfectly for the most part.

For some reason I'm having issues uploading videos here but if you guys don't mind scrolling a bit I have videos of it in action on my Instagram @chance.cc -

like faaaaarrrr down. I post a lot lol.

I've since parted out and sold my car, moved onto a CTSV platform.

Sorry if the guide is a little difficult to read. Glad to see it helped some of you guys get it done though. It's a very cool swap once you figure out the wiring part and getting the fitment correct.

ill probably run into more issues, but i think Im over the hill. Im doing a lot of other stuff at the moment so im not sure how far ill make it on this. Hopefully i can finish it up soon-ish.

looks good man. I was in contact with at @jdcustoms about a faceplate for the cluster. He offered to cut one to fit.

might be worth giving them a call.

No the guide was fine, I was just asking that poster what he wanted to know in regards to the wiring.

And thanks for the heads up on a place to cut out the backing plate. I'll have to give them a shout.

Curious about ACD, i'd like to keep mine, would a button be programmable or would it be useless doing this swap?

I will still work fine. You'll just have to wire it up to a separate LED Panel and integrate it somewhere.

here's the pinout for an Evo 8 WITH ACD.
I can't tell you if it's the same for non ACD evos. Be wary.

Thanks for the detailed write up. I have a friend that is parting out an S2000 so i was thinking of doing this swap. Did anyone ever get it all working right?

Also the cluster he has is a S2k AP2 from an 06.I know the wiring is different but the instructions are on the ktuned site. Did you sort out all the issues? Is everything working correctly? I also want to try to make mine plug and play. Where did you find the connectors?

Also did anyone try using SPEEDO HEALER V4 with universal harness instead of Ktuned?

Its an acquired taste for sure. I'm not a huge fan of the stock cluster, but the digital S2K cluster has its pros and cons. With that being said, the car has the stock cluster in it currently. A CD7 would be ideal but I don't feel like wiring in new sensors.
