you said it will work..
is the block from the 2.1l originally a IX block or an VIII block that has been modify to fit with a IX head?

It's a 2.4L, so it's technically neither. It's been destroked to a 2.1L, and we modified it, for the oiling of a Mivec head. It with either work with an VII or a IX.
