MORE PRODUCT DETAILS

Have you ever heard of a win-win situation? Well our RaceMax 272 degree camshafts provide exactly that! Sold ONLY in pairs, these camshafts allow your EVO 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 to make power EVERYWHERE in the powerband. That's right, from 2000rpm to over 7500rpm our camshafts make more power and torque even with a stock turbocharger. There is no longer any need to "stagger" your camshaft selection for a"better idle" or "to keep some low end power" because these camshafts do it all and have been engineered to work as a pair. Your engine will hit peak boost up to 350rpm earlier reducing turbo lag and increasing throttle response which means this is an engine modification you can feel instantly. At 3500rpm, a gain of 31.9 hp at the wheels will definitely push you back in the seat. Just look at the chart below or view the dynosheet to see the power gains.

These camshafts have just a little more lift than the popular HKS camshafts and the same duration. Operation below 7500rpm does not require valve springs or retainers as the factory valve springs and retainers are plenty strong to prevent valve float. However, if you plan on running your engine at sustained speeds in excess of 7500rpm for extended periods of time, we recommend installing the Crower valve springs and retainers.

These camshafts are machined from new forgings and will bolt-in directly to your head. Cam sprockets can be used to fine tune the powerband, but these camshafts have been optimized to work perfectly with a stock deck height and un-machined head (meaning a stock engine that hasn't had any machining operations to remove any material). Any changes in block deck height or head surfacing will require adjustable cam sprockets to re-optimize the cam timing. ECU tuning is required to squeeze the most out of these cams, but is not required. However, any modifications to today's engines will greatly benefit from ECU tuning. A capable tuner and ECU will bring the best out of any modification with optimized fuel and ignition advance maps. With a good tune, these cams can idle very close to stock at 800rpm. If you have or plan on getting a flashed ECU, make sure to let your tuner know so they can stabilize your idle properly.

Our engineers have spent hundreds of hours developing the perfect camshafts for the EVO8. Here's your opportunity to have a piece of that perfection.

Interesting...another contender on the market. How would you personally compare these to a set of GSC S1's in power production? And pm me a price too if you could

We have not done a comparison between the two, so I wouldn't be able to tell you if they are better. Both are great cams, I haven't heard anything bad about either so I guess that's a good thing.

Sorry I don't have any more graphs, unless someone in the forum has a set on their car and does have a graph to share.

Regards
