I hope the production versions of the pipes fit better. I'm actually really disappointed with the upper IC pipe fitment from the above pictures. Is Helix going to end up coming out with a version 2 like they did w/ the downpipes? Cuz if they are, I'll just wait.

Good Morning,
Does that mean that my shinny pipes are "out the door shipped"..?

And how about the PM quote request for flywheel/clutch...?

Hey guys,

The ones pictured are the prototype ones (notice how they're unpolished). The production versions have that bend resolved. There is no rubbing against any portion of the chassis. That being said, unfortunately with the stock batter, it's just going to be a super tight squeeze, simply because the USDM battery is fairly large. We've installed several of the Ralliart and various other brand IC pipes, and they all push up against the battery. I'll try to get some pics of the production versions shortly.

Thanks

Gary

Hi! For the rubbing on the frame rails, I think that might be the angle of the picture, we didn't have any fitment issues on the body of the car, only a tight sqeeze on the battery

Have a happy new year guys!

Okay, I went ahead and got the Helix IC pipes. The production version of these pipes seem to fit better than the prototypes in earlier pictures. I've only installed the upper IC pipe so far using the OE hose clamps.

Of the 10 t-bolt clamps I recieved, only 2 of them fit over the couplings when they're installed on over the IC pipes. The other 8 were too small. Anyone else have this issue? I'll call Gruppe-S later today.

Overall, I am impressed with the fitment of these pipes! With my stock battery pushed all the way to the right, the upper pipe barely touches it but is not under tension in any way. It also barely touches the upper radiator hose. I'll probably get some heat wrap for the upper radiator hose. And lastly, it barely clears the fan controller and clears the frame by a lot.

Here are the pics. More to come once I install the lower pipes and get my hose clamp issue resolved. Props goes to Gruppe-s for another fine product!
