Hi guys,

I'm very very sorry about the T-bolt issue. We screwed up the T-bolts, there are actually 2 different sizes - we didn't know. For those that have alreaady received their downpipes, please e-mail me how many of the larger sized ones you will need and I will send them out immediately.

In the meantime, if you must install them, you can use hose clamps from Home Depot. In fact even Helix doesn't include the t-bolt clamps with their kits, but we found that some of the high boost EVO's (30+PSI) were popping off the standard clamps.

I'm very sorry for any inconveniences.

Thanks,

Gary

While waiting for the right t-bolt clamps, I decided to put the pipes on just to see how they fit. So I didn't install everything, knowing that I was going to take them off again.

anybody try these pipes with an aftermarket intercooler? How similar is the color of the blue pipes to the BBY of the evo?

Evoisdream - Sorry about that! Please e-mail me gary@gruppe-s.com, i'll get you new ones out right away

Bajabby - They will work with most aftermarket intercoolers, as the silicon hose gives you a bit of play to work with. The blue is a bit more of a darker blue and the EVO blue.

Thanks,

Gary

Okay, I got everything installed and buttoned up. I used t-bolt clamps on all the pipe junctions except the one at the throttle body. The supplied t-bolt clamps could not fit over the throttle body. One of the tricky parts of the installation was figuring out how to orient the t-bolt clamps. The clamps take up a good amount of room so you need to find an orientation that makes it clear everything while still allowing enough room to get a wrench on it.

Overall impressions, I think I lost about .1 bar of boost due to these pipes. I remember Tyler@WORKS telling me this would happen and that WORKS has a special flash for upgraded intercooler pipes. Powerwise feels more or less the same as stock. Boost feels like it hits a little harder. I'll be making a trip over to WORKS to get my P2 flash updated within the next few days. Then I'll get a real impression of the improvements of these IC pipes.

Upon checking online today, FedEx shows not having the pipes yet..!
