Tilton Introductory Super Sale

Tilton Performance, a division of Tilton Engineering, is proud to release three new clutch packages for the Mitsubishi EVO VIII and Subaru WRX/STi. The three clutch types have been developed to meet the requirements of high-performance street/strip and racing applications. Clutch options include a Cerametallic/Organic Hybrid, Cerametallic and Carbon/Carbon clutch. The flywheel included in the packages has been engineered to have a compromised weight/inertia that provides increased performance (faster engine acceleration) and good drivability (reduced bogging). Also included with each clutch package is a hydraulic release bearing (HRB) that mounts inside the bellhousing and replaces the stock slave cylinder/fork arm release bearing mechanism. This HRB provides quick shifting, low pedal effort and self-adjusts for clutch wear.

Tilton’s Cerametallic/Organic hybrid clutch packages were engineered for high-performance street applications. This hybrid clutch combines the advantages of a smooth engaging organic disc and a durable cerametallic disc within one clutch assembly. The result is a clutch that provides the drivability needed for street driving and the torque capacity needed for big turbos.

Features: 7.25" 2-plate cerametallic/organic hybrid clutch. Rated torque capacity: 500 lb-ft*
- Billet 4140 steel flywheel with integral-cut ring gear.
- Hydraulic release bearing assembly
- Aircraft-quality hardware
- Total Weight 19.1 lbs

Tilton’s Cerametallic clutch packages were engineered for track or extreme street applications. The cerametallic discs can withstand increased abuse when compared to organic-type discs, such as harder shifting typically seen at open track days and higher temperatures generated when the clutch is slipped excessively to get a good launch.

Features:
- 7.25" 2-plate cerametallic clutch. Rated torque capacity: 600 lb-ft*
- Billet 4140 steel flywheel with integral-cut ring gear.
- Hydraulic release bearing assembly
- Aircraft-quality hardware
- Total Weight 19.1 lbs

Tilton’s Carbon/Carbon is the absolute finest clutch package available for the EVO, benefiting from Tilton’s 17+ years of carbon racing clutch development. The 100% carbon matrix plates utilized in the clutch provide great drivability, have an extremely high heat capacity that enables the clutch to be slipped without overheating/warping and have a very low inertia for improved shifting and transmission synchro life. In addition, carbon clutches include two additional pressure plates that compensate for carbon plate wear and provide long-term clutch life.

Features:
- 7.25" 2-plate carbon/carbon clutch. Rated torque capacity: 840 lb-ft*
- Billet 4140 steel flywheel with integral-cut ring gear.
- Hydraulic release bearing assembly
- Aircraft-quality hardware
- Total Weight 16.2 lbs

That is a hydraulic release bearing. Completely replaces your stock slave/throw out bearing/clutch fork etc. The most efficient setup basically.

The tilton is one of the best clutches on the market. They are proven performance.

Ryan Woon Supra 8.90's street/drag car
Gary white supra mid 9's daily driver
Paul Eftanis Supra 8.90's street/drag car

Sean Ivy uses a Tilton clutch in his car and is awesome success.

There are many other stories of success with the Tilton and many street and race cars.

I had a hybrid installed at CFT three weeks ago. Pedal pressure is like stock with the hydraulic bearing. It rattles, but that's expected, it is a twin plate. Engagement is incredible. Only put 500 miles on so far with two auto-x.
