so are the bearings in your rotating assembly packages already checked for clearance with the new crank? and the only macine work needed to the block prior to assembly(assuming good condition)would be to clean, bore, and hone? also, why no balance shaft eliminator with the strokers? do you reccommend keeping the shafts due to vibration issues with the higher displacement/stroke?

I'm very much considering getting your stroker kit/new block combo deal. Would all clearances be checked before hand so its really just ready to assemble?

Sorry I misunderstood your question this morning, I just edited the post. A new EVO block is $1850 but when purchased as an assembled shortblock we'll take $200 off the cost of the block.

To answer the other questions, if you purchase a rotating assembly kit the clearances are not checked. We have no way of checking them without your block since every block will be different. The cranks are measured as part of their prep before shipment and are in spec. It is the responsibility of the assembler to ensure proper bearing clearances as well as rod-to-block clearances. Standard block prep is required prior to asembly. Bore, hone, blueprinting and final wash are the bare minimum.

We DO NOT reccomend eliminating the balance shafts with the stroker kits. We see no benefit to getting rid of them and they greatly increase the longevity and reliability of the engine.

Nesiop: A Stage II assembled shortblock is $3395.50 with a core, or $5045.50 with us supplying you with a brand new block which is decked, bored, honed, clearanced, balanced, blueprinted and assembled with all of the parts listed in the Stage II kit. Freight would be under $200 to Massachusetts and would be around 2 days.

Thanks!
