For those of you who have installed this valve, how does it sound. My type S seems to be leaking and I am told you can't get replacement parts.

If your worried about the sound then this in not the valve for you. Get an HKS SS or something else. This is an awesome performing valve. Mine holds 30psi no problem with the red spring installed. Don't get me wrong, this valve sounds
great when venting. Not annoying like others.

These valves weren't specifically designed to make a specific sound.

The noise heard from them will be solely based on the restrictiveness and acoustincs of the intake system used on your application.

If you're using a stock airbox and stock panel filter, this valve won't be any louder than your stock valve.

If you're using a stock airbox and an aftermarket drop-in panel filter, you MAY get a slight increase in sound.

If you have some type of full-replacement intake system (ie: open element cone filter and a metal or silicone intake tube) you will clearly hear the valve venting. It won't be quite as loud as a fully atmospheric valve, but you will most certainly hear it!

Bump for Scott!
