We've not fit one on an VIII yet as these were designed with the IX bumper opening in mind. There have been a few with VIII's that have purchased the wide tank intercoolers so we should have some pictures surfacing shortly. Shoot me a PM if you're interested

We are now back in stock on 3", 3.5" and 5" wide-tank core I wish we'd forecasted better for the demand on the 4" but we will have those again soon!

Here's a picture for comparison between our two EVO intercoolers We had no idea how popular the wide-tank coolers would be so thanks very much to everyone for your support!

Are the 4 inch back in stock? I checked the website and it says April. Also, The website says that only the 3/3.5 inch fit behind the crash beam, but here you say that the 4 inch also fits. I assume that the website has not been updated?

What is ETS Stencil?

They put (minor trimming to front crash beam) only because of the tolerance levels behind the Mitsubishi front bumper and the radiator fan. Since the 4" core fits completely snug behind the front crash beam, ETS does not want to be responsible for those vehicles who have been involved in some sort of front end collision and/or for some reason are out of the tolerance specification set by Mitsu. These intercooler are SUPPOSED to fit perfectly, however understandably, ETS wants their customer to be aware that they may need to make slight adjustments if they plan on buying this 4" core. Mine fits perfectly and I have yet to hear of anybody elses 4" core not fitting well.

ETS will provide you with a stencil so that you can paint ETS on the front of your core.

4" units are available as we are substituting Garrett core in place of ETS core until our order arrives. Sales far exceeded our expectations for this past quarter thus our inventory was not sufficient to meet the demand and we had a small gap between running out and replenishing our stock. That should be corrected this time around and we plan to avoid any backorder time at all moving forward

Nick hit it perfectly with the 4" intercooler, and with the Garrett core actually measuring in a 3.75" fitment is even better than with our true 4" core.

Is the price the same with your core or the garret core?

Have you noticed any performance difference between the two cores?

Thanks

Pricing is the same with the Garrett or ETS core In having used Garrett, Modine, Bell and some of the other major core suppliers in the past we developed our core which is completed spec'd inside and out by us. We feel we've improved upon the designs of the others where the best combination of efficiency, flow and airflow to the radiator are concerned. The real world difference will be negligible as the Garrett is a very good core, which is why we offer it as an option when our core is unavailable in a given size.

Our of curiosity, are you the same Fathouse from DSMTuners and DSMTalk from lots of years back with the white 1G in the videos we all knew and loved?

Ya thats me. It was a silver 1g btw. That car ended up with a full t4 61mm setup on it before I was done. Made good power (105mph in the 1/8) and broke alot of drivetrain parts.

I parted it out, and got into bikes, built a 323hp turbo busa. Talk about fun.

I recently picked up a WW evo9rs. Now comes search for the parts I want. Hense asking about your fmic.
