The reason for the change was due to the nipples on the key breaking due to people over-torquing the spacer nuts.

The hex key with standard nuts are much beefier and can handle much more torque.

The spacers shown on Ichiba's website (http://www.ichibausa.com/15albowhsp4.html) come with a lock adapter and different nuts that have 4 holes in it. How come I received nuts that had a regular hex head? They were 9/16" I believe. Did Ichiba change the design for some reason?

That's what I thought. I most certainly agree with the above statement! Is there a recommended torque down rating? I tightened mine down to 100ft-lb, but if you have another number in mind I am all ears.

Just so everybody else knows, 100ft-lbs seems to be holding up okay over the past couple weeks so no reason to go any higher

How much longer are the extended studs than stock? Are they extended 45mm greater than stock or is 45mm (1.77") the total length?

Really depends on the thickness of the spacers.
for the 25mm "slip-on" spacers they are 50mm studs.

for the 15mm and 20mm they are 45mm studs.

I meant the 10mm Slip-on spacers with 45mm Extended studs. Is 45mm the total length?
Heck with it. I'll take a pair, PM sent.
