New gauge pod design!!!

Since purchasing my Evo earlier this year, I have casually been working on making a new fiberglass gauge pod to hold my gauges. I have posted a few different designs along the way, and your constructive criticism has helped me to develop a better design.

As much as I like all of the other gauge pod products available for the Evo, I found each of them to have its own disadvantages in either visibility, cost, or aesthetics. Taking these into account, I have tried to come up with a pod that would compliment the stock interior, hold two 52mm or 60mm gauges, not be openly visible from the outside of the car, and not break the budget.

Here is the result:

Since I am not yet an authorized vendor on this site, I am posting this only to see what interest there may be in this design. If you like what you see, then please send me an email, pm or reply to this thread.

I am not currently making these for sale, but I can and will if there is enough positive response. Thanks!!

Well, I would say that was the response I was hoping for. In the first 5 people that viewed this thread, four people have come back with a positive posts.

As I said, I am technically not selling these yet, but I can give you more info if you contact me directly.

Those are just about the best of all the worlds in gauge pods that i was looking for, i loved the craig hardy 3 gauge panel to replace the stock radio but i didnt want to spend 160 and THEN have to relocate the head unit. I would DEFINETELY buy these!

Awesome panel, probably the best due to fit and finish, lack of need to move other electronics, and space saving. Don't block your view of anything either. One question tho, do they get in the way of the shifter?

When I get an evo, this will be my first consideration for a gauge pod. Nice job dude.

BTW, my cousin has an engineering business making rapid prototypes. If you get a big order for these and need a large quantity, shoot me a PM and I can set you up with him. Makes real quality pieces out of urethane and other materials.

Those are sweet!! I have one question and maybe it could be a custom deal or maybe a thought to change the design a little. Most of us have 3 gauges and if you were to add another gauge under the 2 gauges shown in the center and mold it in that might look sweet also. Anyway see what you can do and you will sell allot!

Maybe it would look better if there were more angles --- kinda looks like the dash panel grew ***** . . . .
