there is no BBY in 05 it has been replaced by electric blue... you can see it at http://www.mitsubishicars.com/MMSA/M...&1098145594156 for a rough idea of the look. but i think it will look alot different in person

if it looks more steel blue than baby blue in person, that's gonna be hot.

one thing i noticed that i really don't like... is the sun/sound/leather option. why the heck would mitsubishi force you to get an overpriced factory system with the sunroof, and then pay for leather on top of that? that jumps the price to 33,619. i swear, the more decisions mitsubishi makes, the more i question who's behind these executive decisions.

"i got it! the evo's didn't sell as good as we thought they would (03's sitting on the lot well into 04) so lets take some of the most common requested options and force the customer into buying them all!"

just plain stupid.

.

In Mitsubishi's defense, it is extremely difficult (and expensive) to have a high number of possible combinations for a relatively low production run. I think it was Car and Driver that did an article about the number of possible permutations on a given vehicle. It ran into the hundreds of thousands, iirc. Insane.

Things are actually better for Evo customers now than in '03. Then you just picked one of 6 colors, with or without moonroof, with high wing or low wing. Now you have 3 basic Evo packages - RS, GSR, MR. Each is available in different colors. And the GSR comes in 2 versions - with or without the SSL package. I don't envy dealers trying to keep in stock the exact package, color, and options that people want.

So, no, you cannot please all of the people all of the time, but most can find an Evo that comes close to their ideal.

Oh yeah, and where the heck is a picture of the new blue?????! Maybe they haven't brought any over yet. The website pic isn't even a real photo, so I wouldn't trust that at all.

C'mon Mitsubishi. Send out some publicity shots.

Click on the file name for the image representing Electric Blue and it's called Blue By You. It's the exact same picture they've had up for ages that was supposed to represent BBY. The Electric Blue is much darker. Apparently, it's the same colour that the Neons come in.

The blue I posted is the new color that replaced Blue by you on JDM cars.
