Cool little mod: iPod Mini

sooo i got an iPod mini about a month ago, this thing is really awesome. 1000 songs with about 300mb to spare. not bad.

i went out and got the RCA adapter for my Pioneer HU and a monster RCA-->mini stereo wire and I was all set, except for a spot to put the iPod itself. I didnt want to do any crazy fabrications so i rigged up a holder using the belt clip it comes with, some electric tape, and double sided tape. so far so good. it's pretty slick

check it out:

I think the only downside is that you would have to reach down lower to select the tracks that you want?

its the 6500... yeah i have to reach down but that's the beauty of playlists. plus, the ipod is easy enough to navigate at a stoplight no problems.

edit: it wont display on the HU, it's just AUX

I did the same thing with my Pioneer AVIC N1 except i used a 36in. cable so i can pull it up to my face while im driving and still be able to kind of pay attention to the road. I'm also going to make a dock out of my ash tray so i could run the wire through and charge the ipod while its playing. This has got to be the mod i've done to my car...I'm a huge iPOD junky and i can't live with out it.
