Shining Monkey Review

I bought 2 cans a few weeks back and just applied it for the first time. At first I thought it looked really good. I took it for a drive and noticed no spit up then I checked it out a few hours later. The tires were looking older again. I thought this stuff was going to last awhile. I applied it twice. They still look ok, but I thought it would last much longer

Overall I don't think I would buy it again unless they make larger cans so I could get more uses out of it. I give it a 6 out of 10.

never tried it yet, but i use turtle wax tire wax, it is pretty good and lasts long, not as shiny though but not as messy either.

I used it. I like it. No spit up and does not make my wheels look like patent leather. Prefer the light sheen over glossy. The key to tire dressing is to make them look black.

I think i've tried just about everything except the shining monkey, but i was going to try and order online, but the turtle wax tire wax is the best at looking good w/ o too much gloss or slop going on car.

I agree. It's just that it didn't seem to last very long. I love not having it spit up on my ride.

I use the mcguires hot tire shine, its more shiny than the monkey with no spit up, and you can adjust the nozel for the spray width.

Making your tires look good at the expense of performance, questionable practice?

Just last weekend I applied this stuff after detailing my car. I applied 3 coats to each tire sidewall and then I rub a sponge in a circular motion to make it even. The shine is there, it doesn't spit, and it looks great! I have a ton of this stuff in my garage...

Thumbs up

black magic tire shine spray.. works really good makes your tires really dark and shiny i noticed that it lasts a while like a week or so and it even withstands rain somewhat.. its really cheap too for a bottle its maybe like 4 $ and you can use it probably 10 + times..

I like the shining monkey tire stuff. I applied it to the tires once and it looked great. no spit up. looks shiney and lasts at least a couple of weeks without needing a touch up. I will be buying more of it. Works great.
