Tinted windows or not?

When my WRX was destroyed because of a deer + telephone pole combo the tint saved myself and my friend from having glass all over us. After I went back and looked at the wreck, you could see where the window shattered and was just held togeather by the tint. I'm looking to have 25% put on the new black evo this summer.

tint makes all cars look a lil better. the limit here in az is 35% on front 2 driver windows, 5% (limo) on all the rest including up to a 6" strip of 5% on the top of the windshield. there are people here who run limo all the way around (that's what i'm gonna do) cuz of the heat here (temps exceed 150 degrees inside cars during summer) & people who even go double or triple limo. the problem w/ the last 2 is you can't see out the back window when you're backing up at night!!!!!!!
ditto greedmoto!
even if you go to the mitsu website & build an evo, the cars look so much better cuz the windows are blacked out. MR in grey looks mean on their site.

a little
. i guess i got the the darkest tint out of everyone here. at least at this point. my tint is basically almost double limo. its actually a limo tint with a 20% tint right behind it. i have it on all my windows except for the windshield. i just have a 6 inch strip there. its super dark. even if u had a high power flash light u aint seein into the car. the only problem is backing up at night, i cant see ****. i gotta rolled down the windows to see. which aint bad since i drive wit the windows down away. best thing about this tint it gives me a good reason not to let anyway drive my car.
i also live in las vegas. soon a tint here is very necessary. this tint saved my live life from the heat in the summer, and its fun to stare at people through a tint that they can see through.
heres a pic of my car.

I have 30% all the way around. I grew up in FL and its pretty common there. I like it on my white EVO. I think it accentuates the black on white theme with the hood vent, wing etc. Degraded night visibility has never been a factor with 30,
I've had 15 on a Caprice and it was so dark I never used my mirror dim lever. Rear night visibility was noticably less. I'll second the advice to always go state legal. I like it but it wouldn't be worth breaking the law.

Received my 2nd ticket the other week. I got 3% tints all-around on a lightning yellow and it looks great. I see it as paying tax for having tints. Besides having people stare at me drives me crazy. When you have tints that dark no one really looks... I have a short fuse when driving...

LOL cops aren't that stupid bro! Trust me...they look for that stuff. If you are getting pulled over...you are going to be asked to put your window up some to see if they are tinted or not. Been there...done that...got out of it cuz I have medical permission.
Actually, the roll down the windows trick has worked countless times for me. I have 5% all around and 15% on the back windshield of my GSX, and I just roll down the front two windows when I pass a cop or get pulled over. I've never once gotten a tint ticket in either NY or Maryland, both of which are very strict with those laws. Also, the only windows that matter are the front driver and front passenger, you can tint the rest as much as you want. I forgot to say that the stripe on the top of the windshield is also illegal. You can just tell the cop that you rolled down the window because you knew he was approaching the car if he asks.
