What does everyone think the evo looks best in Tinted windows or stock? If you like tinted windows which percentage do you think appears to look the best. Thanks

 

tinted but legal, tint fine in hawaii went up to $500. legal is 30% here.

I think they look good on certain cars I just don't like them on the evo!
Plus I hate driving cars with any kind of tint, but alot of people don't mind it!

 

if you are going to tint, and do like it dark, i'd go with the legal limit for your state...i wouldn't give a cop that pulled you over any more ammo than necessary

 

It depends on the color of your car too. If you have a black car, then tint is good. Tint doesn't look good on the yellow or the red.

 

If you do get pulled over and you have illegal tint, then just roll down all your windows as you're pulling over. If its winter, you might get a little cold, but you'll save money.

 

I went with 15% and I think it looks good.

i can see it now...20 degrees out and you get pulled over. all four windows down.

That's effing hilarious!!! Cops aren't stupid, they are either going to realize you have tint or airing out the car from the smell of weed or just plain retarded.

You could tell the officer that your windows malfunctioned, you just better pull the fuse in case he checks.

 

Actually, the roll down the windows trick has worked countless times for me. I have 5% all around and 15% on the back windshield of my GSX, and I just roll down the front two windows when I pass a cop or get pulled over. I've never once gotten a tint ticket in either NY or Maryland, both of which are very strict with those laws. Also, the only windows that matter are the front driver and front passenger, you can tint the rest as much as you want. I forgot to say that the stripe on the top of the windshield is also illegal. You can just tell the cop that you rolled down the window because you knew he was approaching the car if he asks.

 

And back on topic, I think tint looks good on Silver and Black Evo's. IMO though, after going with 5% all around on my eclipse's and realizing that I couldnt see anything in the rain at night, I opted to go with 40% on my Evo. If you have yellow, red, or blue then I say no tint however. And please dont get those silver tints or colored tints, they look hideous.

Definatley tinted....looks great

although i was actually pulled over by a texas state trooper due to illegal tint that was the only reason he pulled me over. now how he knew it was illegal on the opposite side of the median while both of us were doing at least 70 is beyond me. basically it was a pull over and lets see what we can hit him with stop in my opinion. the wing on the back must have made me look like i was going faster.

 

tinted....no darker than 15%, and def no chrome or metal flake.

 

btw, what does this have to do with engine/turbo/drivetrain???????
