I've had a BassLink in a Ford Escape for 3 years. I like the sound, etc.
Just a gentle warning. The amp section of my first one blew out just after the warranty expired. It wasn't fixable. This was with relatively little, and definitely low volume, use. Nevertheless, I bought a new one to replace it because I like the sound and portability.

oh well, here's hoping that was an isolated incident
as for now, i love mine!!
