Varies front lip a problem?

after watching the Top Gear video here:

Jeremy said that the front lip would cause the front fender wells to tear to shreds... i know Varies doesn't produce the exact same front lip, but it is close enough... maybe some current Varies front lip owners or a Varies vendor could chime in about this...

no problem with mine.. but I think that is the Do-Luck front lip on the FQ evos..

yeah, i'm pretty sure that's the do-luck... i am curious as to what he was talking about though...

He mentioned that at high speeds in excess of 100mph, the additional force created by the lip had a tendancy to "peel" the plastic wheel well liner from its mounting - "undressing itself"
