guys,

anyone know how to replace the shift boot? i have the new combat MOMO shiftknob+boot and wondering if I have to remove the center ring or the entire center console to get it out. any pic/suggestions/advice would be much appreciated. thanks!

You can look for the short shifter howto thread for instructions on removing the console.

 

you don't have to remove the entire center console. Just stick a flathead under the top silver piece and pop it off. there are four screws that hold on the shifter ring. unscrew those, replace boot and screw back together. simple as that. I had the same shifter. you will have a lot of boot left under the console. cut it if you want to, but I left it alone.
