Cleaning carbon off of bumper

Once all this snow melts and the weather warms up, I plan to do a Zaino day and get my car into show condition.

My question is: What is the best non-abrasive solution for cleaning the carbon off my bumper? Running my test pipe has created some carbon buildup on my back bumper and I was wondering the best product to use to clean it off safely.

I searched on the boards for awhile and I couldn't find anything real relevant.

Thanks for your help!

Eric

I track my Evos and what I use to get off tire marks and other stuff is a small white pad that is sold under the Mr Clean brand name. Try removing the old fashioned way tire marks at more than 30 spots on the hood, fenders and grill and then use this product and you will say why didn't someone think of this before?

thanks for all the replies!

however i need a little clarification:

1. Meguiars Clear Coat Body Scrub / Paint Cleaner
Wipe away damaging environmental "fallout" before you polish for a shine. If your car's surface isn't as smooth as glass because of daily exposure to sunlight, bird droppings, hard water spots or acid rain, you need to clean it. Body Scrub® removes hairline scratches-providing deep-cleaning action with a special formula suspended in rich polishing oils. Unlike traditional rubbing compounds, this blend of mild abrasives, chemical cleaners and paint nutrients is safe on all finishes, whether applied by hand or with any of our electric polishers. It's ideal for lightly oxidized cars that are not waxed more than once a year.

Ok, this seems like a cleaner that could help break down the carbon, although I wonder how strong it is.

2. Meguiars Cleaner Wax
A single step to brilliant protection. The right wax for many users is one that cleans, polishes and protects all in one simple step. Meguiar's Cleaner/Wax fills this need. Applied by hand or machine, it removes light oxidation and lays down an extremely durable high-gloss finish. Made For Professionals.

Ok, this seems like it's both a cleaner and a wax. I wonder how effective cleaners are that wax at the same time.

3. Meguiars NXT Generation Tech Wax
NXT Generation Tech Wax is unlike any car wax you have ever tried before. Nothing even comes close to this amazing product. All we ask is for you to try it. If it doesn't blow you away, send it back and get a full refund. If you're planning on entering a car show or cruise or just showing off, you won't want to be without this product. Here is what this awesome product will do:

* Your paint will be darker and richer and the shine will be the deepest, clearest you've ever seen.
* Our new ESP (Engineered Synthetic Polymers) technology creates a tougher, polymer bond to your paint so it can provide extreme protection.
* Engineered to eliminate those fine scratches so you can have a flawless finish.
* Glides on and off easily. You'll be surprised how easy it is to reveal your dazzling new finish

Ok, this seems like soley a wax, maybe I misread this last post.

I'm interested in a cleaner, while I'd like to clean the carbon without damaging the bumper, I'm not as concerned with waxing as well.

Thanks guys.

You will have to use something slightly abrasive like cleaner wax, light-medium grit clay, or a fine compound. It is OK to use something a little rough, just make sure you give it a little polish, then seal the job with some protector wax or a product that will seal the clear.

I just used NXT to clean my bumper the other day. It came right off without rubbing hard. I'd try that. You may have to rub harder if you have alot on there, but I ususally clean my bumper at least once every two weeks of or so.
