So did anyone here get a mount? I'm starting to research these to figure out which one is best/least expensive.

?? I need this for real reasons not just to be a sweetass. I have gps software I'd like to be able to see.. plus tuning software I'd like to use. It's a pain in the *** keeping the laptop in one spot while doing runs...

Look at police suppliers. They have nice Lap Top mounts in cop cars. I have a nice one in the patrol car I ride in when I do reserve duty, its the same one I'm getting for my lap top for ECU plus software.

Bringing this thread back from the dead...

I just made my own mount but ran into a little issue; I stripped the threads off one of the passenger seat studs. The threads completely sheared off so I can't even clean them up with a die.

Does anyone know if the stud can be unscrewed or is it welded to the chassis?

Once I get this fixed I'll post some pictures of the finished stand. It was pretty easy to make with minimal tools, so pretty much anyone could do it.
