Do many people put systems in their Evos?

I was just wondering cause i havent seen many threads about people putting at least simple systems. I know that this is a sports car and all. I mean I am going to be going from a Ford Bronco to an Evo and its going to be my first 5 speed car that i have owned and I am really not trying to go full boar into mods and stuff. So I was just wondering if there was anyone else out there.

I didnt at first but now I just installed one in mine. I missed my system in my old car so I finally broke down and did it. I will mod my car later for performance but I'd like keep the warranty good for now and the stereo wont hurt the warranty. I didnt do all the fancy stuff that just adds weight though, I just put some subs and an amp in the trunk.

I'm running a Pioneer HU with a flip-up DVD screen, JL Audio Evolution 6.5's in the front and rear with the JL components in the a-pillars, and a JL amp powing a 10" W6 in a ported box back in the trunk. When I go to the track I just unplug the speaker wire and remove the box/sub.

One of my friends did alot of work with a bunch of different car audio companies and he also works at Hi Fi Buys. So basically I can get anything I want at basically factory price plus a little comission.

My system will be:
A good HU not sure which
a set of JL ZR650-csi
a 10" woofer
and a couple of amps

I know this is kind of off topic but where in the firewall did you guys pass the power wire for the amp through? I found a grommet i used in my 04 evo, but in the MR that grommet w/wires going through it isnt there? Just wondering if you guys found somewhere else to run the power wire.

I'd say, check out your "Area" first... if there's lots of auto/sound equip theft...then forget it.
Just another reason for some idiot to break into your car and mess it up, just to get a radio/speakers...which they cant use cuz you have the face, etc..

My cousin has a "custom" altima...his walmart radio got stolen. I got my window broken too the first week I had the car, nothing was taken cuz it was stock.

Define system.

I don't think too many people on here go apesh*t with custom fiberglass enclosures and motorized amp racks and crap like that.

I've got an amp under the passenger seat to keep the weight low in the car and a 12" sub in the trunk in a small speaker box with a Blaupunkt Los Angeles head unit. It's just enough to give a little bump to drown out the exhaust and tire noise.

I think there's probably quite few people who use their Evo as a daily driver with similar setups to what I have.
