when everyone else does.

the kit is still going through tooling and development, with more news to come in the next couple of days.

my team and i are rushing to get this kit out as quickly as possible, without cutting ANY corners. we're shooting for the april date i posted on page-01, but i'll have an official ETA soon.

let me know if you want to be added to our list. the first 100 people are getting the kit at the GB price of $250.

okay..

great news. it's about that time.

i've submitted an email request to evoM administration to register as a silver vendor. i've registered the name Rich@Orbital to use for the purpose of doing business on evoM. i will continue to use this username for personal posting.

the kit is currently undergoing tooling and further development. you guys are going to be very happy with the results of all the hard work and effort that has gone into making this the hottest and finest interior upgrade available for the EVO and Lancer. we should have more protoype pictures up within the next two weeks.

a tremendous amount of engineering and testing has (and will continue) gone into this kit to guarantee perfect fitment with hardly any modification to your car. i've spent a great deal of my own money and layed my neck on the line for this kit to come out. i just hope that everyone appreciates the contribution.

as for release date. like i said above, the kit is currently going through the tooling phase with our manufacturer for production. i wish i could give you a definitive date, but until i have one from them the only thing i can say is that we're looking at two and a half months lead time, in which EVERYONE on this GB will receive their kit. i assure you, no one will be left hanging. look for me and the tri-state evo club at SEMA... i'll have the prototype in my car, if not the final production pieces themselves.

options.. everyone seems to want options. thats a good thing, because this kit gives everyone the opportunity to fully customize their interior to their individual tastes and liking. as i mentioned in previous posts, we're offering single-DIN gauge packs, stereos, audio/visual equipment, and practically anything and everything you would want or need. also, for those of you looking to retain the metallic look of the factory 2-DIN, we will be offering an option to have your bezel specially finished to match the OEM metallic-look interior. given the cost of tooling a whole new part for this kit, i felt it was economically rational to make this a "built to order" option, where our affiliate body shop would prepare each piece, sand them, and paint/coat them in the OEM metallic color for those that wanted it. other reeeeeally cool options are going under development subsequent to the release of this kit, so keep the energy up and stay excited because i promise i'm going to deliver

one more very important note about the kit and optional parts. we manufactured this kit assuming that 95% of owners would want to upgrade to a super-sophisticated 2-DIN LCD. as such, the standard bezel included in our kit is meant to accomodate your conventional 2-DIN LCD without the need for a trim piece (which as you could see by the photos i posted on page 1, does not fit and leaves a TINY gap between the bezel and the radio). my team and i are a raving band of perfectionists and wouldnt build this unless it looked stock. however, for those of you who want to retain the OEM deck and simply add a pocket, we are offering the OEM mitsubishi bezel (which will work with the OEM radio without any modification to the bezel) as a solution. unfortunately, the OEM bezel is not cheap at all.. hopefully you'll appreciate our kits price even more..

finally, we need to begin collecting deposits on the kit as soon as possible to pay for the insane cost of tooling involved with production. i'm going to open up a new thread under the Orbital username to start that process. if everyone would kindly set aside a $200 deposit to make sure their kit is spoken for, it would really help me out alot. thank you.

thanks again for all of the support guys! you have all been incredible in inspiring me to bust my butt to get this out there for everyone. lots of love to evoM family

This is very exciting! This guy deserves a lot of respect for putting so much time and money into what will definitely be an extremely hot interior mod!
