yeah, it came out really well. I think the baking helped with the smoothness

Repainted mine again (flat black) due to rock chips.. I'm going to bake it for a little bit just to help harden the paint a bit.

Hey ovenmit, did you remove the bumper to get the front badge off or brute force it?
Looks good.

I thought about flat black too, but i kinda like the reflection. might switch to flat after a while or something. and yeah, i'm hoping the baking helps the hardening process... rock chips suck

haha naw man. no bumper removal. NO brute force. be gentle with the thing. dental floss and a hairdryer. just slowly saw it off. be careful or the dental floss will rub the paint off your bumper around the emblem. and don't lift up on the diamonds too hard or they'll snap off from the middle (weakest part). there are two posts that stick into the bumper (red arrows in the attached picture). You'll need to GENTLY lift up on that diamond to get the floss under that post, but be careful. the black circles in the picture are holes in the bumper, but they're not used for ANYTHING. kinda weird.

Sand the lock and use primer.. I don't use my key anymore on the trunk for fear of chipping it lol. I guess you could even have it powdercoated?

Yeah, I didn't even have to take my front emblem off myself. Someone stole it and now I have to replace it. I think it looks bad without it with all the holes n' stuff. It would look clean if the holes weren't there, imo.
