Blacked out badges
Blacked out badges
Has anyone tried this? Or does anyone have any advice on how I could do it (front and back
badges, and lancer evolution badges)?
My inspiration for it is ahhhermm, a particular model of the Camry which has black badges. Looks cool on a black car.
I don't want to debadge, but I don't like the chrome look.
Thanks,
Lee

For the front you can do the same thing, but just mask off as much of the front end as possible and do it on the car. TAKE YOUR DAMN TIME or it WILL look like ****

scuffed them with 320 grit, 3 layers of primer, 3 layers of paint, and 3 layers of clearcoat. then used razor and the sandpaper to shave extra paint and clearcoat off edges. then used 3m mounting tape to mount on trunk.

Here is how I painted the front.. I highly recommend buying another emblem to paint.. You have to remove the bumper to safley get the damn thing off.. (at least I did)
I think if you had a new one painted and ready to go you could force the old one off without all the hassle.. then just stick the new one on
