Looking for black rims

I'm looking to buy some black rims for my TB Evo.
I want 17x8.5 so the stock rubber will fit on them.

I'm looking to spend no more than $1000 or so.
I've seen the 5Zigen FN01R's and like them, but tons of people have them.
I'd LOVE to get the Ralliart ones, but they are overly expensive.

What other black rims are out there? I'd like to avoid the polished lip, since I'm trying to black out the car as much as possible.

thanks

The 5Zigen's are going to suit your needs the best imo, but your right there are a lot of people that have them (like me). It's hard to go cheap on wheels for this ride so good luck.

keep in mind another option is picking a wheel you really like and having it painted black..thats what i did.. turned out great.. although i didnt go with powercoat. i didnt like what i was reading about it.. the paint if done right will be very durable and shouldnt even cost that much...

yeah, but how much does it cost to have them painted?

I'm not trying to be 'cheap' I'm just trying to save money for other things.
I'd love to just spring for the Ralliarts but hell, I could be at 350whp for that much.

If you can afford to spend about 2g's, you can always go for the Volk CE28n's in gloss black.

Team Dynamics Racing wheel from Frisby Tire. I did it and love the wheels. They're relatively inexpensive, don't require spacers, and Todd is a pleasure to do business with. They're an Mitsubishi OE manufacturer for the UK. Give Todd a call!

I was going to recommend these wheels as well. If I could have gotten them in silver by now I would have gone with them. I believe they run about $200 a piece.

the TDR rims don't come in 17x8.5 though... but they are very good; stock size, stock offset.

If you want a cheap set of rims that hold up good .... www.revwheels.com

I had a set of these on my old IS300 and they rocked! ... I kept cracking my racing harts and didnt have a ton of cash so I got a set of the REV Model II in 19" and never had a problem with them ... they offer them in 17-19" and in silver, black, or gun metal ... I would highly reccomend them for anyone looking for and inexpensive set of wheels

Not 8.5, but you can now get them in 17 x 9. I think these are the best option and you can support an EVOM vendor.
