Ooohh hrm. I'm afraid that for right now, I don't think I'm brave enough to do tails. I'm brave, but I wouldn't do someone else's without doing my own first. It just wouldn't be right.

As for headlights if your serious, or anyone is, PM me. I'll figure out a price, and since I don't do customizing like EvoDave does, it'll be cheaper.

At what temp did you cook them in the oven and what tool did you use to pry them open? I'm just about ready to try this myself soon.

275 for 13-15 minutes. I use a flat head screw driver. I use the screw driver to lift up on the lock tabs.... once the tabs are open I gently pry up one edge of the light the pull apart with my hands...

its really simple guys

I'm thinking of doing this myself also. So you put them in the oven to melt the adhesive in order to open them up, then after painting, you heat them up again to get the adhesive sticky for resealing. Is that correct?

I should add that when I reseal the headlights I always use RTV Seal a gasket #2. Its water resistant, but not permantent, it can be re-melted. I use it too to make sure that I for sure get all the seals.
