ipod in cubby below a/c

so a month ago my 20gig ipod crapped out on me for a change, so a few days ago i bought the new nano 4gig. so i plan on getting a new headunit sometime soon, most likely an alipne with the ipod hookup. so my question is what is going on behind the a/c and that cubby? is there room to send the wire there so i can plug the ipod in right in that cubby or is it just easier to put it in the glovebox or armrest? any ideas would be greatly apreciated

behind the cubby there is just a mass of wiring harnesses for the A/C, radio, etc. You can pass anything you want behind the a/c unit and radio, its all open area. hope i helped

I had no trouble with the XM boxes I put both of them behind the dash. I bought one of those FM tuners for my mini and it just plugs in the cig. lighter. It is super handy and since I change vehicles alot through the week it's nice b/c you just take it with you and it works in anything.

So you might look at one of those if you care.

I've got mine in there. I just drilled a small hole in the top rear corner for the aux. cable and cut down one of those sticky pads for the ipod to sit on. It all works great and with the sticky pad I can even leave it there during track days (gotta' have tunes!).
