Stereo Guys: Kenwood eXcelon XXV-04S

Oversized 6 3/4 speakers... supposed to be about 7" which according to some people on here is our actual speaker size... anyone know anything about these?

BTW... Havent heard of where alot of people are mounting their crossovers... I'd rather not have them in the doors again...

Should fit. Most 6.5s arent even 6.5 though.... Im pretty sure those would fit. I put my crossovers in the kick panels fit fine, as for the rears there underneath the floor.

i am actually thinking about putting these in my car. i work at a shop that carrys kenwood and was talking to their tech a few days ago about them. these components are suppose to sound as good at the $1k+ focals, and diamond stuff. only problem is, he told me the woofer is B I G. dunno about mounting depth(window clearence) if need be, making the hole is no prob. Also you running a mids/high amp? very much recomended as these will not come alive off deck power. my .02

No biggy about the depth of the speaker. Best Buy has speaker spacers. I think you can get them in 1/2", 1", and 2".

According to Kenwood these have a mounting depth of 3-1/16"... is that even doable with spacers?
