just got a pioneer avic n2

I just recently installed the pioneer avic n2 and its just the best thing that pioneer ever came out with in my opinion. the only thing bad about it is that you can't play movies while you drive but who in the world needs to watch movies while your in an MR hehehe. Everything that you need is on it..especially Navigation.

There is an emergency brake wire that you have to connect. If you ground that wire, it should play all of the time.

I think they changed the setup with the N2 i heasr they have an internal gyro that prevents watching movies while in motion...I have the N1 and they way you said it is the way mines hooked up

Correct the N2 has a gyro. There is a way around but it is much more complicated that just grounding a ebrake wire

Yeah I know, its stupid.

They want you to use additional LCDs to show the movie while driving... in our cars its pointless... im not putting more LCDs.

ya i have the n1 and theres only 2 differences, no traffic jam advisory and no gay giro. If u can take that thing back and just get the N1. its gonna be alot easier to do. i have never ****ed with that giro thing nor i know its hackable...

I work at circuit city...a buddy of mine there knows how to do it, all I know is that it involves installing a switch. He did it for mine. I can ask him how to do it if you want.

Hey how much you paid for installation? I wanted to get one but thinking that installation would cost another load of change.

There has to be some kind of switc on the inside to disable that feature. I am sure that they are not made like that for other markets around the world. Maybe even a firmware update if it has some kind of 232 or fc input.
