I used the search function, but I was not able to find what I was looking for: I was curious if I could fit a(n) Evolution VIII front to a new IX, I miss the little triangle too much 'n I love the look of the VIII front. Any help would be great, if I'm in the wrong place a re-direction would be helpful too. thx

 

YES it will fit since IX fb fit on VIII lol. You might want to try WTT and try to trade your IX bumper with a VIII fb since everybody are after for it.

when you have your evo parked at the back of the parking lot... and its just starring back at you as you walk out to it.. well yeah the evo VIII bumper actually looks super bad ***. from some angles the triangle looks stupid, but If you de chrome it, it looks really good.

 

haha yeah, I dunno, i've worked @ a local Mitsu dealership for the last couple years and I guess that lil triangle has grown on me; one more quick question, do you think that the VIII fb would 'sync up' with the IX body, b/c I know that there were a couple minor changes to the body.

 

so what your look to trade your black evo 9 front bumper for a evo 8 front bumper. If that's the case, I'll trade ya. It should fit fine. The evo 9 bumper goes on the evo 8 so I don't see why it would be any different

 

yeah, I wasn't a fan of the 8's split grill, but it's grown on me...now when I see a Evo 7, the front seems too stubby....

As for the Evo 9 front, it's perfect...the lower part extends out like the 8...and the upper grill is not split, so it doesn't look to stubby...but I'm sure the design is more for Aerodynamics than looks...
