Stereo Set-up

Hey whats up folks, i'm looking to upgrade teh stereo system in my car now. my last car had mb quarts in em but i'm hearing that they kind of went under. Now to the crux of the matter. I'm not looking to go into sound competitions or anything but i'd like something w/ good sql. which speakers would be good to replace the front and rears with? right now i'm leaning towards boston acoustics but do you think thats more than i need?

so cdt/alpine/infinity. If i'm just looking for some really good sql thats not overpriced where i'm just paying for the name which brand should i go for? i the sales guy gave me a demo of the bostons and i liked those but i'm really not up to date w/ the car audio stuff so i'm not sure if i'm just paying for the name instead of the quality on it.

I have used some Sony speakers in my wifes car and I think they sound really good. I think they were the Sony Explodes.

I second the Boston Acoustics. I am buying those for my components. My friend had those all inside his 240 with a JL12W3 and it sounded absolutely amazing!

I went with an Alpine/Infinity combo which sounds very nice when it's not being eclipsed by the screaming of my motor, hehe.
