has anyone seen the new audiobahn headunit? comes with a usb port in front of the headunit for direct plug and play i believe for the ipod. what do you all think of this? http://www.crutchfield.com/S-zzO90GJ...300&I=037A1200 this might be a better alternative to the cheap adapter kits or just buying the new headunit and new adapter.

Relax Captain Dick hes asking a question. and im SORRYY but i use my radio
You might wanna try an Ipod interface. Pioneer And Alpine make them and they work really well. They interface the Ipod Through the radio and charge it aswell. So all the features that you have on the IPOD are actually retained through the radio. HOWEVER you need to use it through an after market radio and the cool part is that you can just throw the ipod in your glove box and forget about it.
Here it is on the PIONNER website Pioneer Ipod Interface
Good luck man
Anthony
Try and look into it.

sorry i got a little emotional about those wireless pieces. i happen to work for a retail company that sells those useless things. every customer hates them and then has to tell me how horrible they are.

ipod is great on long trips i'd take an ipod over a TT ny day i can drive for 3 days straight and never have to listen to the same song comes very useful when theres nothing on the radio or when you have no radio signal at all
Don't have pics of my ipod sitting in the car, but i wouldn't drive off with out it. It's the only reason why i upgraded my stereo! Nothing like having 50,000 songs at my finger tips at all times. Plus, i can use it to watch videos now. Gives the Evo a little something extra with out shelling out an arm and leg for a dvd dash mount.
How are the aftermarket decks with the iPod interface? I heard they're sort of slow and limited as compared to using the iPod's clickwheel. Luckily, my ancient AIWA deck (1st gen MP3) has an auxiliary input jack right on the faceplate. I've been meaning to upgrade to a nicer and newer deck, but I'm contemplating using iPod interface (more expensive) or looking for a deck with a aux input.
