im just curious as to how many of you have ipods in your evos? please if have some pics of them post them and also what device are you using to play it in the car. because i have the new 30 gig photo ipod coming in on wednesday. and i wanna see where i can mount it and what not. thanks guys

IPod = 0 whp, so No one cares about spending money on an Ipod for their Evo. People would rather have a Turbo timer instead of a Ipod in their Evo.

i have an ipod in my evo for long trips but i run mine through a dvd player audio video inputs i tried one of those fm radio modulators and it sounded ok but the louder you turn up the ipod the more staticy the music gets i think i paid like 19 dollars for the devic if u want to try i out i'll sell it to u for 12 shipped cause i still have it sitting in my glove box i used it maybe one hours worth let me know

lol, glad you spoke for me and everyone else. But that's entirely not true. The honest truth is that deep down inside people want an iPod AND a turbo timer.

I will be buying an aftermarket head unit that offers auxiliary inputs. There are other "kits" out on the market that will allow you to attach an ipod to your stock head unit but for the price it's better to simply spend a few bucks more and replace the stock head unit.

Here's the custom install I did to my Integra. Works great! Wish I had the same system in my Evo. FYI romogst – since a Turbo timer was useless on my Type R I had to spend my money on an iPod.

i didnt ask for any negative comments, if i did then i would have messaged your dumb ***. anyways as i said just trying to see how everyone is running one in their car. either aftermarket head unit or some sort of cable. i mean honestly i dont think everyone is running stock mitsu stereo head unit. once again thanks for anyone giving a good answers and for morons like romogst dont even bother responding to the thread. true it doesnt give any HP, but HP isnt everything. i also crave a decent stereo set up and nice exterior.

anyway, i have my ipod hooked up through my alpine's media box under my passenger seat through the input line.

 

I have my ipod hooked up to an adaptor from alpine to my alpine head unit. That as far as i know gives the best connection and desplays you titels and stuff in the head unit. Another way iv seen it done is though the audio jacks in the back and hooked to headphone port in ipod, its like using the speakers as headphone. With this i dont think there is any despay of songs on the head unit and you must choose your track in the ipod not on the head unit.

i have an ipod in mine... i bought a dual cig lighter adapter for the plug, and plug my ipod in one and the radar detector in the other, the fm transmitter sits high enough to stay out of the way of me shifting, it holds steady works fine

 

that is a stupid statement sorry man. it sounds like your saving money on the ipod since it doesn't add power and then you say buy a turbo timer which add so much more power tt are more pointless than ipods imo.
