I had the kenwood self powered one. It sucked and I put it on Ebay. The Infinity Bass Link is probably a lot better, but I don't think it will fit under the seat. You are probably best taking measurements and then making a custom box with an 8 Inch sub (square would be nice) or have a shop make one. You have the lightest EVO and want to add a sub? Do you have the factory door/rear speakers? Just an upgrade to components and better rear speakers might give you the sound you are looking for. Thats what Im doing in my 06 MR. I will let you know my results.

I personally wouldn't want the extra weight. That's why I bought an evo, for speed. LOL
My stock radio is fine, as long as I can hear it, I'm good. But you should try to make a custom box for the car because I doubt you'll have any room.

I would say BassLink, but I have a 99.9% sureness that there is not enough clearance for it.

I would look into having some custom kick plates fab'd and putting some 8s in them. It would keep the weight down and keep your trunk empty. Then you could put the amp under the seat (you arent driving a sub with the stock head unit). But in a world where people pay thousands to shed a few pounds, subs and an amp can really defeat that purpose.

anything that can fit will suck...

why not just get some really really good component speakers and a serious amp to drive them. perhaps some dynaudio or focal speakers?

you'll get all the bass you want and you can install the amp under the seat.
