are these meant to be fit on an EVO or universal? I had bad luck with universal shift knob which end up costing me a engine because it sliped and went to second shifting at 8600 rpm on my previous car.

Although I doubt the shiftknob caused your engine to blow up, that sucks.

I bought the Greddy aluminum shif knob and used it for about 5 months. During winter time the knob gets cold and I dont know why but sometimes when my hands are a bit moist it feels like crap and is a bit slippery. It only feels fine when your hands and are completely dry. The reason I purchased one was because a vendor was selling it cheap and everyone said the shift felt better and faster because it was heavier.... Took the Greddy one off and slapped on the stock leather piece on and wow...I missed how much smoother the stock piece was.. The height and feel of it actaully was better than than the Greddy knob and it just felt right. Greddy knob looked good and it worked ok but once you swap back the stock one you will know exactly how much better the leather one is. IMO dont waste money on after market shift knobs... they may feel good once you buy it and all but give it some time and swap back to stock piece and you will know what im talking about my .2 cents

I agree, I bought an expensive Momo shiftknob, what a dumb idea. I eventually just went back to stock and I had it just lying around.

I bought a short-throw shifter than came with a $5 shift knob that I use now and I switch back and forth between that and the stocker.

In the end, just save your money.

Razo 340r shift knob is the only way to go, others are a waste including the Greddy which i previously owned.
