I have an aftermarket HID kit for my RS w/ 9006 bulbs. I have read some conflicting reports on the forum here as to whether or not these bulbs will work in the MR headlights I want to buy. Can someone please clear this up for me??

 

I am ready to buy these right now, I just want to be sure they will work.....any help would be greatky appreciated.

I don't know if this helps or not because this area is probably the worst area for me to give advice on. But, I do know that some people have upgraded the HID's in MR Headlights. For example, look at this:

Thanks....I saw that thread too....I just don't know if he is using D2S bulbs or 9006.....worst case scenario I just buy the D2S bulbs for ~$160 and keep my ballasts....it would just be nice to know for sure if I could use the 9006 bulbs with the MR housings...I don't see why it would matter, though.

 

No. The MR uses D2S bulbs. The RS and non SSL GSR use the 9006 bulb.

 

The fog light bulb is a 9006 where as the USDM light is an H11 from hwta I know
