Seibon Hood and Trunk
my Seibon Hood and Trunk came in today, and they both look great... just waiting on the Accolade IX rear bumper, then the MR's goin in the body shop...
what do you guys think about my plan:
reclear the hood and trunk with satin finish, paint roof/vg black to match hood/trunk, possibly going with EVOLUTION IX trunk emblem with MR after it...or i may get a custom emblem made that just has EVO IX MR or IX MR or something..dunno

why not just leave it carbon look? if you buy a cf trunk/hood, might as well have it show the cf. its not like ur really trying to save weight since its seibon, so its probably for looks. but to each his own.

+1 not to sure what he means. cus why get seibon and paint since its mainly for looks and not weight saving if ever its like minus 2 pounds or sumthing

lol noooooooooooooo i'm not painting the hood or the trunk. didn't anybody read the thread? i'm going tho have the re-sprayed with clear coat, only in a satin finish instead of the high gloss coating it comes with. mainly because i don't trust the clear coat that comes with these things, and because it will look more like dry carbon...which i like.
and the whole roof won't be black...im just going black between the rain gutters...i don't like the look with the pillars and all that black....

Ok, the raingutter (weather strip up top on the roof is already black. Plus I have a TB Evo and the CF Trunk and Hood is not Black. It is more like a darkish gray color. So painting anything black to match the CF is not a good idea. But Maybe it might look good becuz your mixing Black with graphite gray and CF blackish grayish color.
