Easy to install, and Good for the car are 2 different things. THe "system" sees and measures the air in the pipes, it has to compensate when the air gets bled out, and your ECU is trying to figure out where the air went. After a while, it sounded anoying! and I didn't like the way the car performed with it on. I wasted 350.00, you shouldnt. The Hks one sounds cool though.

Well i was looking into the HKS ssq but.... the site gave this tech tip for that one.
**Tech Tip** We suggest purchasing the bolt on flange kit for easy installation. We also suggest running the recirculation kit with this hks BOV. The recirculation kit keeps the EVO from stalling and running rich from open atmosphere bov. HKS recommends running the HKS electronic stabilizer for a smooth idle.

You don't need to upgrade the BOV. The stock one works great all the way up to an upgraded turbo. If anything all you will generate is drivability problems.
If this is your first mod then consider an exhaust or a reflash. Don't waste your money on something that will cause problems just to make a noise.

I'm running an VTA HKS SSQ BOV on my EVO and havent had any problems with it.
Yes it blows of nice and loud under boost, but thats not what I bought it for. I got it as an even trade for the Greddy Type-S BOV that I had before on my SRT4.
The HKS BOV on my car is EVO specific so the trade made sense.
I'll be running a complete AEM EMS with MAF delete in a week from now.... I cant wait to see what numbers my car will put out.
