Seibon: Makes quailty products. If your just looing to shave a few ounces, or looking to add come C/F to your exterior, its the perfect choice. The weave is generally pretty straight and flaw-free (2x2 weave), but their fitment is NOT always perfect...especially their trunks. It takes a couple minutes to install their hood, but the trunk takes some times to get it "as good as it'll get". Their prices are very reasonable for what you get. If your looking for a perfect, flawless show peice...see below

Varis, Gialla, C-West, HKS Kansia, Monster Sport etc... These are real JDM peices. Weave is usally very close to perfect. Usually a 1x1 weave which is very tight and beautiful to look at. They are great peices for a garage queen/show car, but wouldn't recommend any rally raving, off-roading, or inclement weather with them. These are the nicest hoods...but you gotta pay $1000+ for these.

Basically:
Daily driven, non-babied Evo == Seibon
Garage queen, rich owner === Varis, Gialla, C-West, HKS, etc....

My personal opinion: stay away from: VIS, Street Concepts, and Carbon Concepts.

I have a question bout the Seibon hood.

Does the hood flutter during fast travel?

Damages rains, snow or strict weather carbon hoods?

(sorry for my bad english)

VIS SUCKS. I had a VIS hood on my 3G Eclipse. After 2 mos it got these hail dent looking things in it- 12 of them (on its own.. no hail), and the scoop started cracking on the edges from heat, oh the fitment was SO-SO. Also the clear was very thin on the hood and almost immediately it looked like crap. I contacted them and they said to send pics so I did. Then they completely ignored me after I went to the trouble of sending pics and never responded again. So VIS SUCKS BIG ***** in customer service. I've not seen their Evo products so I cant comment on that.

Seibon fits snugly, so you shouldn't see any fluttering/"flapping" while driving.

Rain is not your best friend, but C/F can withstand it. Hail and sleet aren't good for it. Snow if it piles on and sits on your hood isn't suggested either.

CF hoods sometimes will shutter at speed. They say its due to the weight but really its the fitment IMHO. If you want to be safe get hood pins or get a super good fitting CF hood.

i have a vis hood and it looked good for about a yr and the fittment was perfect!
but just this summer the clear started to come off and cracking. And i take very good car of my car, I also contacted the vis place ( located in Cal. ) and they tok me it was my fault but they said they wouldn't let me send them pictures of my hood. so they said it was my fault with out evne looking at it. I couldn't even talk to the owner b/c the manager said he was a secret!!! WTF I paid close enough to a thousand.
I just thought that you get what you pay.
so i am going to reclear it or just paint it blk to go with my car.

my 2cents
