Cool Pics of EVO IX MR

Finally had a halfway decent day today, so I took the chance to get out and run the car through the car wash to take a few pictures. This car replaces my '05 Rally Red EVO VIII MR (which is still on the dealers lot for those interested, at a great price. PM me if interested.) Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Thumbs up Evolution Mud Flaps

For those of you interested in the carbon fiber mud flaps, they were purchased from Gruppe-S and are genuine Mitsubishi issue. I do not recall what they cost as I purchased them along with several other items for my WRX at the same time and was given a good deal but they are probably in the $350 - $400 range once you include shipping. Ralliart also has several sets availlable in red & black or carbon fiber that can be purchased from Vivid Racing for $379; or

MachV for $419

If memory serves me correctly, I decided to go with Gruppe-S because they were able to deliver them much sooner than either of the other vendors as the person from Gruppe-S was in Japan at the time when I placed my order. I think I had them within 2-3 weeks.

They were very easy to install and for me, a sound investment in terms of being able to keep my clean car longer after spending a considerable amount of time detailing it.

Tires - Continental Extreme Contacts - 245/45/R17

El Producto, you are correct, the tires are not Advans. The Advans came off after about 25 miles. These tires are Continental Extreme Contacts size 245/45/R17.

They are a very quiet tire that perform admirably in the extreme weather conditions that we experience in MI as well as when the the roads are "high and dry". My only complaint about them is that their sidewalls are not as stiff as I would like and as a result I am planning to replace them with either the Toyo 4 or Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S in the same +1 size.

this may or may not be a lil bit off-topic but whyever are you calling your '06 MR "Phoenix Red."

*logs off of MitsuCars.com*

it says in the MR trim and the regular IX trim, Rally Red just like all the years previous. im curious...unless you've already forked a couple grand to have it custom-painted.

any word on that sir?

Post Phoenix Red vs. Rally Red

IwannaEvolution, in response to your question, according the the 2006 Lancer Evolution IX brouchure that I picked up at a dealership, the color for all 2006 Evolutions is designated as "Phoenix Red".
