So by Audi's 'official' estimates you have listed above, the RS4 w/ V8 is actually LIGHTER than a standard A4 2.0? Hmmmm....something's fishy here.
Look, I like Audi's as much as the next guy (I've owned 2 of them) and the RS4 would be in my driveway if it wasn't for the absurd price. But come on. These cars are tanks! Designed and built to handle long, fast, undulating roads in real comfort. Throw ANY Audi into some tight switchbacks
and things go downhill quickly. The new RS4 is the closest Audi has come to a true sports saloon. It's awsome but in terms of shear driving ability, it's no Evo.

I agree, but Audi has been working really hard to reduce weight on this one and done right will be up there with the Evo. For all I know it could be smoke and mirrors just to swing some interest to the new version. That weight of just over 3400lbs is very possible if they leave out all of the redundent stuff like Subs and 10 to 12 speaker systems as well as GPS all that stuff adds up quick. I owned a 2000 twin turbo S4 and it sure as hell didn't go down hill in terms of handling on the twisties even in the wet, that car was close to but not quite Evo handling. Never had a single issue with the S4. I even owned an A8 even though it was a tank like you say, but silky smooth. I do not care for the new S4's at all even though I do like the new RS4. I guess we shall all see what they do.
how could they make the interior look so good, and the front look like such crap... what's that squarish boxy thing around the front that outlines the OOOO .... why did subaru do the same ugly crap with the wrx. interior looks awesome, and it's a great car, but I can't get over the front's fugliness. back of the car looks superb
