The back seat passengers do not complain about it at all. They just say that it feels like they are on a roller coaster. As you can see in the pic, there is plenty of room.
But, what if you got into an accident? Then their brains would be all over the car. Is the bar removable withing minutes?

Yes it is VERY dangerous for people to ride in the back seat. It is not recommended. The bar can be taken out in about 15 mins. Kindof a pain.

I am sure it is illegal. The question is, can you get it inspected and approved as a seatbelt substitute.

I had a friend that was pulled over cause it looked like he was wearing no seatbelt, but when the officer came to the window and saw him wearing a harness let him go... That wont be the same in every case though.

I had a cop starring at me yesterday, looked like he was looking for seatbelts. I do want to get these harnesses approved so that I do not get hassled for them. Anyone know how or where to do this?
