I hate to sound ignorant and i am in no way trying to put you down for doing this. But in the case of a roll over wouldnt having this harness and harness bar cause more damage to you then if you didnt have it? Since you do not have a rollcage, you have nothing stopping the roof from caving in and since the harness and harness bar are going to keep you straight in the seat and not allow your body to move at all, wouldnt the roofline be coming straight down on you and crush you? I was just curious as ive always been told not to get a harness unless you have a cage.

This is a danger when you have these harnesses. I did not install the sub strap just for that reason. If I get pushed down I will have a better chance of surviving because my body can "submarine". Another risk with the harnesses is that if you strap yourself in too tight and do not wear a helmet, you can risk breaking your neck in a hard rollover.

looks great.
one question: I know you talked about the issue of the seat belt chime, but what about the seatbelt indicator light? does it just always stay on?

Once the lower clasp is removed, the seatbelt light will not be on nor will it make any chiming noise. It is great!

I got the harnesses from a website called soloracer.com. They unfortunately do not come in blue. I am kind of upset now because they just added a new color, silver.  They come in Black, Red, Silver, and Purple and were $150 each.
Here is the link,

I got the harness bar from stikiller.com and it was $325. Link,

what made you get the harness bar instead of the rollbar considering the similar costs?

I didn't want to damage my interior. I wanted to make sure I could take it out one day if I decided I no longer needed the harnesses. A roll bar would have been safer though.

Haha, see i'm not going in that direction. the paycheck after i pay off the car is going to cams (headstuds injectors) then rims, maybe, and i say maybe i will do harnesses way after that.

I do have to say those harnesses did feel safe. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES! but not going in my car anytime in the neer future...

Looks good, I just installed a harness in my car but bolted without the harness bar. I gotta check out your bar at the next meet, I haven't seen how much space there is in the back seat after the harness bar install and I have to keep room for a baby seat....yeah I said baby seat.
