Any love for the old school on here?
i'm in the market for a evo...
but i'm keeping my options open till i find the right car cause i'm still a hardcore subie fan. But i love the evo's alot. I need AWD no matter what cause i live in NY and we get some really crap weather. Oh and besides the fact that i want some frick'in turbo... well heres some of my subie it's a 2000 with 103,000 miles on her.
I didn't go crazy with the mods all i did was just the simple things to improve on it's strengths..
just wondering if you guys could give me some tips on what to look for when buying a used evo.
comments are welcome, and i know most of you guys prolly hate subies...
heres some pics..

and this is when i first bought her back in 2003.

nice looking car. Very clean. For starter it depends on the year and model. There is also the mileage on the car. Check the clutch to see if it is slipping during test drive. Drive a new evo if you can so you can compare performance, such as idle sound, handling, shifting, and etc. Dont forget to check if the car has been modded, and if so what all has been done to it. You can come into warranty problems if the car has been modded.
