I am the anti-bling (matte black brembos here)

My Brembo's were nice pink due to a nonexistent clearcoat and I've pretty much hated the red "look at me!" calipers on my car from day one. In my opinion they just don't flow well with the Apex Silver at all. So after a lot of paint stripper and losing my finger prints I got all that nasty red off. I picked up some cans of the VHT 2000 degree Flame Proof ceramic paint and applied 3 coats per caliper. We'll see how the paint holds up. Worst case scenario, I'll disassemble and have them powder coated on another date.

Enjoy or hate. Either way it looks more like a grown up person's car
And I'm only referring to my Apex Silver.

You know, I was actually thinking about it. I doubt they make any decal with an adhesive strong enough to resist such heat without having to clear over the whole assembly to seal it, losing the matte finish in the process.

Just a heads up....do not dissamble your calipers.
They are name designed to be able to come apart and be put back together.

The flat black looks good if you wanna be sleeperish.

Dude the Brembo name alone adds at least 5HP per caliper. You better add neon or something to compensate for the loss.

BTW nice avatar of our super box and the largest turbo in teh world

Could you explain this a bit more? I am curious what you mean.

dont like it (just my opinion) and i dont think its possible to make an evo look like a sleeper unless you pretty much strip it. it might look better if you had brembo painted on it in red or silver

The bolts going through the caliper holding the 2 halves together are torqued on a special bench. They have a special type of thred lock. AND, you damage the threads inside the caliper durring removal. It is not possible to put them back together properly and the calipers will not completely seal. The warranty will be void and you'll be buying new calipers and starting from scratch.

I respect your opinion and am not totally against the Brembo name, just the how tacky the red calipers look on the silver cars. Just my opinion here so no one take it the wrong way.

Nice work on those, but I personally don't like it. I think the Brembo red looks good on any color, though I have thought about painting mine gold. I'm just too lazy to actually do the work.

Just always broke up the smooth flow of the silver to my eyes. Made it look like a Need for Speed obsessed fifteen year old opted to throw the color on the calipers at the last minute for more "street cred" Please do take this all in good humor guys and may I clarify that the "enjoy or hate" wasn't a question, more of a statement. Man the paint that comes on the Brembos is friekin' on there.

In all seriousness, it should be CAKE to print out a brembo logo in the right size...even BIGGER for more appeal,

Stick it to a piece of poster board, and trim it properly.

High temp white paint and...well, now THAT would look sick. Not saying it doesn't but it'd be better
