A Porter Cable 7424 electric polisher, a cutting pad and a good swirl remover. You need to use a machine to remove swirls.

I have heard that using a polisher/buffing machine is harmful to the finish of the car after a period of time...

I have a TB and would love to get rid of these swirls, but I am hesitant to take a polisher to it...

Yes, also make sure you wash by hand and use a Waffle Weave towel to dry. When you wax use only microfiber towels to remove the wax or polish. Most people are adding new swirls every time they wash/wax there car.

I take the polisher to it about 3 times per year. I use a mild cutting pad so its clear coat safe. I wouldn't use a abrasive polish or heavy cutting pads.

I am going to try it by hand tommorow and see where that gets me...if that dosent do it then I will invest in a dual action polisher from meguiars (porter cable)

Give me until somewhere around the 30th on the month and I'll be posting me "How To" on detialing an Evo...I finally bought my TB and will be picking it up monday. Let's just say...I've covered washing, drying, claying, and just brushed on polishing by machine and have FIVE PAGES SINGLE SPACED in Word typed so far...it should be 11-12 pages by the time I'm done with everything else. Just wait...I'll be posting it in here and how to.

P.S.- I detail cars on the side .
